A Bright & Airy Lufkin Remodel

This home was originally a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1,200 square foot pier and beam home built in 1932 and had not been updated in decades. The structure was moved about 50 feet over and re-leveled on a new pier and beam foundation. It was then completely gutted down to the studs and rafters. The original layout was changed to create a more modern open concept and an additional study/bedroom was added. The exterior of the home was updated with new materials, windows and doors. These material replacements were all chosen with the goal to maintain the original character of the exterior of the home. One detail we love about this home is the restoration of the front porch using some of the original brick from the home! The final product is a 1,800 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 bath home that is bright, airy and exudes warmth.
